Here they are...the 2018 Oscars odds, brought to you by somebody who has not watched a film in theatres this year and won't till Star Wars comes out. On a related note, The Jedi is +300 only to be nominated for Best Picture in BetOnline. You can't tell me a Sundance Film Festival crap is far better than Star Wars. Maybe it has something or better themes, but there is NO WAY you are departing the theater after watching The Florida Project than Star 29, more amused. There's a reason why the former earned 3 million at the box office while The Jedi will earn more than many nations' annual GDPs. I suppose you haven't seen the majority of these films unless you are an arthouse goon. Sure, you can find a few films on the market. I actually just watched Get Out a few weeks ago...kind of underwhelmed if I am being truthful. Do not get me wrong, I could enjoy/understand some"artsy" movies, but if they compelled me to watch Citizen Kane in this movie class I took in college, I quite literally fell asleep I was so freakin' tired. It would seem as if Dunkirk is expected to be this year's"it" movie. Not Stephen King's It, but the movie that will triumph like 12 awards and induce viewers to lash out at the TV every time they are called up. I cinephile so I'm not going to examine the odds for these. Perhaps visit the A.V. Club or some other site for real analysis on the actors and films.
