There is a lot of cash to be obtained this week on DraftKings including a top prize of $30k from the main tournament. DK also has a lot of Qualifier contests on this week, where the final event will pay $50k to 1st if you did qualify to perform in it. I'll be chasing those as well since we've not ever had a $50k 1st place prize and I want it. I do think we have a enjoyable card that Saturday and that I am ready to enter this 3-week break using a winning night at UFC 227. Listed below are a couple plays I like this weekend together with my fade of this week. Money Game play of this week -- Demetrious Johnson ($9,400) Demetrious Johnson is the most powerful play in all DFS MMA and he has the highest ceiling too. DJ is your P4P best fight on earth (not counting Jon Jones) and he has already beat Cejudo once before. This is the first person I am plugging in my cash LU this week and I advise you to do the same. DJ is practically sure to score at least 100-points at a triumph, and he has a -550 gambling line stating he must find the win again here. Play it safe and use DJ in cash. It's possible to pile this battle as well, however I think DJ is essential. GPP play of this week -- Thiago Santos ($9,200) This is a great fight to goal this week since it most likely will not go to a decision. Holland just fought the Contender Series that a couple weeks back and didn't get a contract. But today he is on the PPV against one of the most bizarre strikers in the division. The ITD lineup for Santos is now -210 and the under 1.5 rounds gambling line is -160. That tells me Vegas thinks this fight ends ancient and Santos is the man that should pick up the end. At $9.2k, he easily pays that cost off in a 1st round win and I think he's a solid shot at doing exactly that. I don't care for him as much in cash game formats however because both guys have quite lower flooring, so this is a GPP only play for me personally. Underdog play of this week -- Brett Johns ($7,400) I believe everybody is writing off Brett Johns following his loss to Aljo Sterling and that's exactly why he's so cheap on DraftKings this weekend. With the wrestling style Johns brings to the table, he has 100+ upside even in a decision triumph. Of course, we're concerned about him getting caught in a guillotine when he shoots for takedowns, but if he can avoid I think he could win this fight and 10x his salary with a win. I don't think Johns will wish to strike with Munhoz for 15-minutes so that I do believe he is going to be shooting for takedowns. Those takedowns can get him submitted, or else they could get him a win over the scorecards. But that makes him a boom or bust play and that is why he is a good underdog to pick in GPPs this week. Fade of this week -- Danielle Taylor ($7,500) Even at a cheap $7.5k on DraftKings, Taylor will still require a finish to cover that price label off with her style. She's the worst style possible for scoring DraftKings point and even if she gets a win here she could end up scoring less than some losers on the card. Taylor will be the least owned fighter in GPPs this week, so in the event that you want to spend your money on a 115 pound lady using a"punchers chance" of winning you a GPP, then you will be very contrarian taking that route. But I have no interest in investing my money into that so I will have Taylor in 0 of my lineups this week. If I had been making 150 lineups, I'd still complete fade Taylor here.
