The GAAs Master Fixture Schedule for 2020 has been released, with several noteworthy changes. Possibly the most significant introduction to this calendar has been the tournament in Gaelic football. The closing will take place on 18th/19th July; the weekend of the Super 8s. The event will be held in Croke Park, and also will the semi-finals on Sunday July 5. The Super 8s will even find a shake-up in its third season of existence. In an effort to avoid final-round dead rubbers from the group phase structure, pairings for periods two and three will likely be contingent upon the outcome of phase one; the second round will probably see the winners in the very first weekend encounter, and the losers will play against another. A calendar year championship hasnt yet been attained, although the ending of the club season was brought forward, as expected. The All-Ireland club semi-finals is going to be performed using the decider, in December 2020. The U20 All-Ireland Football Championship was transferred back to the springtime, with its. Elsewhere, the Leinster SFC final will be performed in 2020 on a Saturday day, using the Munster showpiece reverting into the Sunday. The five-week club between commencement and the culmination of those championships are being retained, although a new structure introduced is also seen by the National Hurling League. The Kingdom will journey to Jones Road due to their National League opener on Saturday. Mayo travel is also seen by the opening weekend to Galway confront Monaghan, Donegal, along with Tyrone host Meath that is newly-promoted. All-Ireland champs will kick off their season which Saturday evening in hurling.
