Jamie Murray became the first person in the Open Era to win three US Open mixed doubles titles with success alongside spouse Bethanie Mattek-Sands. The pair defended their title with a 6-2 win that was 6-3 against Hao-Ching Chan and high seeds Michael Venus around the Arthur Ashe Stadium. Murray, who won the mixed doubles in Flushing Meadows in 2017 along with Martina Hingis, has won a US Open title in each of the past four years. "We played amazing, the whole two weeks," Murray explained. "We have had a lot of fun on the court. I am really, really, very pleased to win again." Mattek-Sands and murray took control of the game with two breaks of serve to win the initial set.
