Following a week off, the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series is back in action as they put the pedal to the metal at Talladega Superspeedway for the GEICO 500.
When the Cup series was last in action, it was Martin Truex Jr. driving to victory lane at Richmond Raceway and he's chances of +800 to replicate, but it is Kyle Busch in +275 who is favored to win at Talladega. BetOnline has Busch in +275 followed by Kevin Harvick at +650, Joey Logano in +700, Brad Keselowski in +750, Martin Truex Jr. in +800, Denny Hamlin and Ryan Blaney at +1200, Chase Elliott at +1400, Kyle Larson at +2000 and Jimmie Johnson at +2200 to round out the top 10 drivers on the oddsboard. Standout Stats Ford has absolutely been notable at Talladega recently, winning 10 of the last 13 races there, including the last seven in a row. The pole sitter has only won once in the previous 23 races but the winner has qualified in the top 10 in 12 of the previous 18. Stay away from Kyle Busch this weekend. Although he is the points leader and contains a season-high three wins this season, Talladega has not been a path of achievement for the Nevada native. Busch won the spring race in 2008 and has not returned to victory lane because and he's finished outside the top 10 in seven of the last nine runnings in the superspeedway. Joey Logano has been quite aggressive at the superspeedway lately, picking up three checkered flags over the last seven races, also has five top-five endings over that interval. He has directed more or 20 laps at Talladega in five of the last 10 runnings. Brad Keselowski was a hit-or-miss driver when the Cup series heads to Talladega as he has won five of his 20 professional races there and has led laps in each of the previous six runnings in the 2.66-mile track. However, he's finished 15th or worse in seven of the past 12 races in the superspeedway also. Kevin Harvick might have some worth. I have been staying away from him this year as he has not been the driver he had been last year, but he has managed to amass two stage wins and contains four top-five finishes. Harvick led a career-high 46 laps at Talladega last September and qualified on the pole in the April race. But he's finished outside the top 15 in five of the previous seven runnings in the superspeedway and hasn't driven to victory there because 2010. My Very Best Option for your GEICO 500 Joey Logano +700 The Connecticut native has been awfully competitive this season, landing in the top 10 in six of the nine races thus far, including one trip to victory lane one of five top-five finishes. Fords have been dominant at Talladega and Logano almost constantly finds himself leading the pack at a certain point during races at the superspeedway. Read more here: http://classicsounds.pl/?p=38423
