Aaron Rodgers threw for 429 yards and five touchdowns and ran for yet another as the Green Bay Packers beat the Oakland Raiders 35-17 to proceed to 6-1. Rodgers had his very best game of the season, finishing 25 of 31 passes and throwing scores to five unique receivers since he continues to increase at a new system with rookie head coach Matt LaFleur. Derek Carr needed a largely efficient day departure for Oakland - he completed 22 of 28 passes for 293 yards and 2 touchdowns - but a costly fumble from Green Bays end zone before the half had been a turning point from the game and a late interception tarnished his stat line. You will find promising indications for Oakland, as rookie running back Josh Jacobs - who ended the game with 124 rushing yards - broke loose for 42 yards on the next play of the sport, resulting in some Daniel Carlson field objective. Following Rodgers had fired straight back, kicking off his strong afternoon using a 21-yard pass to Aaron Jones that necessitated an outstanding winding catch in the back, Oakland took the lead for another time when they assembled an outstanding 14-play, 101-yard drive that resulted in a Carr touchdown pass to Foster Moreau - his ninth straight conclusion. The first half, back-and-forth competition continued when Rodgers drove his team 75 yards another way in 11 plays threw his second straight dent to Jamaal Williams to a back - this time a two-yard turn to put the Packers up 14-10. With three minutes until the halfof the Raiders had lots of time to react, and they failed instantly as 48 yards raced to the Packers goal-line. Nevertheless, from the two, Carr tucked the ball run and rolled right but lost control as he reached for the pylon. The end result was a touchback and the ball of Green Bay. Rodgers had to work with, but he struck three straight passes with the last resulting in a 37-yard touchdown into Jake Kumerow that tip-toed down the perfect sideline to discover the end zone before the half. Their lead was extended by the Packers as Rodgers was again perfect on a 78-yard drive after getting the ball to begin the next. On the first play of sunlight he started a deep ball to Marquez Valdes-Scantling for a 59-yard gain, and after Geronimo Allison was believed to have resigned from bounds shy of this goal-line, Rodgers took the ball himself finished the drive with a three-yard run. Although the Raiders had another dent - with Carr finding Waller from seven metres out on another Raiders push - Rodgers added to his outstanding day using a three-yard touchdown pass to Jimmy Graham and 74-yarder to Valdes-Scantling, taking his total for six TDs daily. It was just the fourth time at Rodgers profession as a rookie where he has accounted for six touchdowns in a match. Raiders back-up QB Mike Glennon threw a touchdown to finish the scoring and substituted Carr in crap time. The Packers (6-1) confront two AFC West road tests, first playing the Patrick Mahomes-less Chiefs, and then the unsatisfactory LA Chargers. Oakland (3-3) finally complete their long road stretch when they head to Houston to face the Texans next week, until they head home to host the Lions in Week Nine.
