It takes 20 years to construct a reputation and five minutes to ruin it. If you believe about that, you'll do things differently. -Warren Buffet If more firms -- namely online sportsbooks and casinos -- followed this advice, gambling online would be far more enjoyable...and much less stressful. I'd bet that BetOnline wishes they did. They've made decisions a few years back that's probably cost them thousandsof thousands, maybe even millions of dollars, because of lost business from poor PR. We'll be sharing some cases of those beside you in our inspection. Because while we wholeheartedly suggest BetOnline to our customers -- and feel that now they're a trusted and legit gaming company -- we think you have a right to know the entire story before opting to play here. What exactly did BetOnline do to create so many people mad? We think that a better question is this: what did not they do? BetOnline's poor choices spans the spectrum of unethical behaviour, which range from telling enjoys to withholding money to having poor security. There are loads of examples we could show you. But LegitGamblingSites.com has already done the job for us. They discovered several instances, which you can see for yourself on their BetOnline review. Here's our TL;DR variant: BetOnline Told a Fib After BetOnline first introduced their poker product, they lied about what system it was on. They claimed to be about the Hero Poker Network, even though they were actually on the Action Poker Network. There were also stories about the way they were on the Chico Poker Network, but then were kicked away. Afterwards reports (in BetOnline) indicated that things were fine and fixed, and that BetOnline had been (and still is) about the Chico Poker Network. Odd thing to like about, eh? (Although we might lie also if we had been on a shoddy network such as Action.) Everyone agrees that BetOnline lying was a stupid move and a bad approach to advertise a new product. It doesn't exude confidence. Plus it makes you wonder: why would they lie about something so trivial in the first location? $60,000 Confiscated for No Reason There have been many, MANY reports about BetOnline confiscating money from customers. The justification was nearly always because the client allegedly cheated, even though no proof was ever provided from BetOnline (in the cases we have read). 1 case that caught our attention was of an expert who had $60,000+ confiscated because BetOnline stated he cheated. They refused to send him all his hands, but did offer to send him the hand histories that showed him cheating (for evidence ). He got them though. What he did get was vacant promises about the way they were on the road, and the runaround when they never showed up. They eventually told him they couldn't send him the hand histories since the files were too big. (Anybody who understands anything regarding internet poker and hands histories -- let alone about downloading files to your own computer -- understands what a crock this is. And, why would not you send evidence someone cheated in case you have nothing to hide?) Finally Sportsbook Review (SBR) got involved and assisted the participant get his money back. His last update mentions being relieved about the way it worked out for him, but also stated the same thing happened to his buddy. Chip Dumping $50 Means You Had BetOnline $30,000+ In this case the participant did do something wrong -- he chip-dumped into his buddy. But here is the kicker: He also chip-dumped to his buddy at a HEADS UP table where nobody else could be hurt. He did it his friend might have an extra $50 to play at BetOnline. The humorous part is they were playing from the exact same house at the time. Most sites wouldn't even let two individuals from the exact same IP address sit down at exactly the same table -- but BetOnline did. The individual had his account suspended (way after the fact, whereas many sites would've captured it much earlier ), which no disputes or thinks was a wrong move on BetOnline's part. What's though, is how they wanted to also take his $37,000 he earned since that incident. Forum members indicated that most legit sites would not have allowed two individuals from the exact same IP to sit in the exact same table. And, if they did, the moment they suspected chip dumping had occurred, the player's account would come under inspection. He'd never have the chance to earn the $37,000. But now that he did, BetOnline wanted it. But, technically, the cash should go to whomever was hurt by this player's actions (which wasn't any one). So it is absurd BetOnline believes they need to be able to retain it. BetOnline Knows Your Own Passwords The previous example we want to talk about is an instance in which a BetOnline rep outed the way the employees knew their customer's passwords and login amounts. It is possible to see the live chat log in here. The first poster has a fantastic point. If everybody in the company has access to your login information, what's stopping them from conducting a VPN, logging into account and accepting your money? The BetOnline rep didn't have a good answer, only a"ha ha fine grained." Scary stuff. Scroll down the discussion thread and you'll see even more examples. It is ridiculous. What is even more absurd is the way these instances are a drop in the bucket in comparison with the sheer number of (similar) complaints . A quick Google search for"BetOnline scams" will also keep you busy. Subsequently BetOnline Does One Funny: They Acquire SportsBetting.ag During precisely the exact same time BetOnline was fighting, SportsBetting.ag was unable to. They were trying hard to pay their clients. Thent a few months after a story broke -- BetOnline obtained SportsBetting.ag. The crazy part wasn't so much the acquisition, it was the fact that BetOnline also consented to be on the hook for all of the current and previous payouts. Even after all of their stingy-like shenanigans. An excerpt from SBR: Most of all, the new investment group is dedicated to get SportsBetting.ag winners compensated in a more expedited manner. "The new shareholders unconditionally guarantee past and future payouts from SportsBetting.ag," the rep stated. "However, as there's a large backlog of pending payouts, they have to be run through different fraud checks, prioritized and fulfilled. When the backlog is complete, customers will experience radically improved payouts thanks in part to updated payment choices, such as same day choices." Nobody knows precisely how much BetOnline had to make in previous payments. In reality, BetOnline was reportedly"shocked" for more than $1.5 million in liabilities that wasn't reported from the prior direction. So I think it would be safe to presume that the previous debts exceeded $1.5 million -- and apparently BetOnline has paid it all off. What Does That Mean for BetOnline in 2019? What Does That Mean for You? Honestly, we've had a hard time finding anything negative to report about BetOnline from over the last year or so. There are a few complaints; ordinary stuff all businesses face that we will address in the future in our review when it makes sense. Nonetheless, it looks to us like the vast majority of BetOnline's issues are over. They have satisfied customers, if you're able to believe it. Now, what does that mean for you? Should you forget and forgive? Are they secure enough for one to join, make a deposit and playwith? We'll be honest -- there's no way we would have played at BetOnline back in 2011-2012 if we had known or heard about any of those reports previously. No one in their right mind would. You would be safer lighting your money on fire. And we also don't want to downplay the errors they've made. Lying, making baseless accusations, withholding funds and insecure software is not to be taken lightly. But as buying SportsBetting.ag and adding new management to manage operations, things have improved drastically. So much so that we're comfortable now urging them to our readers. And it is not only us. If you look at other BetOnline reviews, you will see similar thought processes. In most cases the reviewers first condemned them for their activities (in 2011-2012) and recommended NOT playing there, simply to get a change of heart once they saw just how much BetOnline altered. So, here is where we stand on the issue -- BetOnline has made mistakes and is far from an ideal sportsbook, poker room or casino. They had and continue to have their shortcomings, the latest of which we highlight in our review below. But, as best as we can tell, they've righted their wrongs and continue to improve what they currently offer players. We feel safe using accounts . It's your responsibility to choose if you feel the same way. 2019 Main Review of BetOnline With their past from the way, let us jump into what is important today -- and that's what BetOnline offers in terms of banking, gambling options and promotions. Deposit and Cash Out Options, Fees and Time Frames BetOnline offers a good selection of banking choices. But you will want to keep in mind that what is available to you will probably be determined by your geographical area. Let us begin with their deposit options. Deposit Options Here are the payment methods BetOnline accepts and the min/max limitations for each: Visa Visa (Person to Person) $50/$700 Visa Visa $50/$5,000 MasterCard Master Card $50/$5,000 Person2Person Person to Person $50/$900 -- BetOnline covers any fees over $300. Money Orders Money Orders $300/$9,000 Bitcoin Bitcoin $20/$3,500 Skrill Skrill $10/no max Neteller Neteller $10/no Maximum Book to Book Book to Book $500/no Maximum Bank Wire Bank Wire $1,000/no maximum Check Assess $1,500/$24,900 Diner's Club Diners Club $50/$1,000 JCB JCB $50/$1,000 The largest complaint about deposits are their 6 percent fees for credit and debit cards. They're one of the only websites that charge for (credit/debit card) deposits. Bovada's one of the other ones, charging 4.9%. Cash Outs When you're ready to cash out your winnings, then you can use: Person2Person Person to Person $50/$500 -- Could take 12-36 hours. Prices will run $26-$101. Bank Wire Bank Wire $500/$24,900 -- May take up to 10 days. Prices will run $45-$75. ATM ATM Only Card $100/$2,500. Check By Mail Check by Mail, Courier or Express $500/$2,500 -- Depending on which option you choose, this can require 7-30 days and will cost you $25-$50 NOT INCLUDING the fees that your bank may charge. Bitcoin Bitcoin $20/$5,000 -- Will cost you 2% (of the total). Skrill Skrill $25/$9,900 -- Takes around 36 hours. Just 3 requests allowed a week. Book to Book Book to Book $500/$15,000 -- Transfers are completed within 24 hours. Neteller Neteller $25/$9,900 -- Requires up to 36 hours and will cost you $20. Only 3 payouts allowed a week. What I don't like is how you'll pay a fee for every banking choice. Even bitcoin, which is usually free at most sportsbooks and casinos. But here you'll cover a 2% fee. Nevertheless, I've seen firsthand testimonials from customers who say they have received payments over 10 days, bank transfers over 3 days and bank cables in 2-3 days. This is quickly considering they are in the US market. BetOnline says nothing about it on their site, but I have seen reports which suggest BetOnline provides you a $50 charge every month if you put in your request on a Friday. Oftentimes this will not cover the whole fee, but it is far better than nothing. BetOnline's Products: Just What Can You Bet On Play? BetOnline is an"all in one" company. That means that you can bet on sports, play poker and casino games. Their longest standing, and likely most popular solution, is their sportsbook. So let us start there. Bet on Sports, Horses and Financials BetOnline offers action on horses, sports and financing. Within their sportsbook they more or less pay the most popular sports in america. Included in these are: Automobile racing Baseball Basketball Boxing Cricket Darts Football Golf Hockey Martial arts Rugby Snooker Soccer Tennis Lacrosse Softball Olympics eSports You can also bet on futures and prop bets on these markets: Canadian Soccer Cycling Formula One Darts Hockey Horses Professional Football College Football Pro Baseball Pro Basketball College Basketball Women's Pro Basketball (WNBA) Rugby Soccer 1 option they've added lately is eSports. It is no surprise really, given how fast the business is growing. Each bookmaker is leaping on the bandwagon and offering odds on all the biggest leagues and tournaments. BetOnline is, also, even though it appears like they're only dipping their toe in the water to check the temperature. I say that because -- as of right now -- they just have moneyline odds for a single match-up / league. Compare this to Bovada who's covering 5+ games around about 10+ leagues/tournaments. It's a big difference. I mean, who would you rather go to for eSports betting? That having been said, I think that it's a fantastic idea to give BetOnline the benefit of the doubt...for now. It's possible they are still trying to find their bearings in this growing marketplace. Perhaps they have plans to expand their eSports options in the near future. What they do have going for them is their chances on the match-up I am comparing to Bovada. They are offering slightly better pricing to the exact same exact match. There is no way to tell if that's going to be the case, nor will it matter if they never expand this section of the sportsbook. However, it's reason enough to keep your eye on them. They provide live gambling too. These options change constantly, of course, to coincide with what events or games are going on. When I last looked they'd lines for soccer, tennis and baseball. You might also keep tabs on a few of games simultaneously utilizing their multi-event tab and program for future games using their live betting calendar. One thing they are known for are their higher-than-average betting limits. These range from $1 to $25,000. Most markets will probably max out at between $1,000 to $3,000. But it only depends. You can also raise your wagering levels by telephoning their Player Services. Their sportsbook additionally runs a fair variety of promotions, and much more than you'll find in their racebook and financials segment combined. A few of the better choices include: 50% Welcome Bonus -- Get a 50% match on your initial deposit up to $2,500.50% Kickoff Reload -- Get a 50% reload bonus up to $1,000. Live Bet Free Play -- Get a $25 free play. This is less or more insurance -- create a bet and if you lose, they'll reimburse you around $25. Beyond that you will see a list of races in their main webpage. Each listing tells you the number of open races you'll find, which when you click on it will expand to reveal the races, horses, jockeys and chances. If you are unfamiliar with their website or horse gambling, a good section to search through is that their racebook information tab in their navigation. Here you'll find information on: Their monitor limitations. This tells you the maximum you can wager per race.Payoff odds. Discover how much you will make if your wager (s) win.Their rules and the types of bets you may make.Horse betting hints, FAQs and phrases (in case you don't know what a word or phrase means). It's a good section if you're new to horse gambling. And that is about it. This segment is much more compact than their sportsbook. Nevertheless, their racebook does have a few offers also, though nowhere near the caliber or quantity that their sportsbook offers. Here are some of their offers: Track Rebate -- Get a 7% rebate on your stakes daily with no min volume or caps on how much you can make. $25 Risk Free Bet -- Make a bet for the very first time in the racebook. If you shed BetOnline will reimburse you up to $25. Last up is that their financials section. Here it is possible to wager on currencies, indices and commodities. Your betting options include signature, range, turbo and a single touch. The assets/markets you can wager on will depend on your bet kind. This section looks to be an afterthought. It certainly will not get the attention or marketing BetOnline's other sections do. Their poker room is one of the most well-known options for Americans. They are a part of the Chico Poker Network, who is 13th in overall traffic rankings, but is 3rd for US poker websites. When I last checked they'd about 2,100 players on their website. In 2016 BetOnline conducted a much-needed software upgrade. Previously they had several complaints regarding the quality of the applications. This included complaints regarding blurry graphics, poor sound and animation quality. But following their update we've seen suggestions they might have some of the greatest software in america marketplace. From worst to best at 1 upgrade? That may be pushing it. But in line with the images I've seen, their applications DOES look better. However, there are still a few places BetOnline can enhance. Right now they have a download for PC and Macs. However, they don't have some choices for mobile players, which we think is a no-brainer in this era. They also only offer holdem, omaha and 7-card stud. It would be nice to see more game options. In general, though, it is wonderful to see they're making improvements and are getting more competitive with what other top tier US poker sites provide. Speaking of that, some of the poker promotions or offers include: Welcome Bonus -- They will match your deposit 100% up to a max of $2,500. They pay out this to you 5 at a time. You will have 60 days to clear the deal. $50,000 GTD -- They are running a $50,000 guarantee for $99. $90,000 Guaranteed -- BetOnline guarantees more than $90,000 in championship prize pools each and every weekend. They have a few leaderboard and money race challenges, also. And it's not just a"bonus," but the games here must be milder due to the US traffic and the crossover traffic from their sportsbook or casino. Earning money from their poker tables ought to be easier here in contrast to other poker (just ) sites. Casino and Skill Games Here you'll find lots of game options which range from table games to slots to video poker and skill games. Their matches come from the Rival Gambling and BetSoft applications, each of which are famous for producing topnotch games. Customer Support If you Encounter a Issue or have a question, you can reach out to BetOnline using one of the following choices: Envelope PHONE: 1-888-426-3661 FAX: 1-800-453-0804 EMAIL: cs@BetOnline.ag LIVE CHAT (for actual money accounts only) One thing to point out here are the accounts I have seen about the way BetOnline's support is unfriendly. One example came from a poker player turned site reviewer. He shared his experience, which was among the worst I've heard ever, let alone heard about BetOnline. Here's an excerpt in Gaming the Odds: Considering that BetOnline's poker software isn't high-quality, I anticipated them to excel at client services. How else can you explain the popularity of their poker room? Turns out I was wrong, big-time. In reality, through their live chat support (and I just have to mention it in this BetOnline review)I had the worst customer service experience in my entire life up to now. Following the live chat session began, I needed to wait a couple of minutes until the customer service person bothered to answer, not only completely ignoring my question but asking for my username and password as well. Can you feel comfortable entering your username and password to some live chat box? I sure did not. I explained that I do not want to input that information into a chat room and, more importantly, the query requires no such information because it was about BetOnline.ag in general. I had to wait for ten minutes for"help" (I use that word loosely here), while getting"Thanks for waiting. I'll be with you in just a minute..." every now and then. That said, I've also heard the opposite. A reviewer who plays on BetOnline states they offer excellent customer services. He also states that your best choice is to take advantage of the live chat (only available to account holders). Their adventures are polar opposites. This implies to people that BetOnline may have inconsistencies with the way they handle customer care...an Read more: online bookmakers offers
