Tottenham right-back Serge Aurier insists he is happy at the clubdespite being prevented by leaving this summer. The Ivory Coast international said he would have liked to have moved from Spurs but rather made his first appearance of the year and two assists from the 4-0 win over Crystal Palace on Saturday. Aurier, who last played at the Premier League in February, has had a tough time in the club after his 2017 movement and said he wished to leave because of a"personal situation". The 26-year-old is presently looking into the future and insists that there is no rift with boss Mauricio Pochettino. Asked if he wanted to depart, Aurier said:"Yes, but that was the situation prior to the transfer window closed, the transfer window is currently closed, today I am calm and pleased to remain. "I talk with everyone, I don't want to leave. "I had something in my head, but that I did not want to leave to the gaffer or the chairman (Daniel Levy). "It was my private circumstance and today it is OK, everybody wishes to give me another opportunity and today I am happy to remain and happy to perform and joyful for the victory. "We will need to give the best for this season and for the trophies. "Nothing has changed in my personal life. I live and now I want to show and give my best to the supporters, for the club, for everyone." Read more: nfl odds to win the super bowl
